Description

The Richmond Vale Railway Museum is a volunteer non-profit organization, formed in 1979 with the aim of preserving the Railway and Mining Heritage of J&A Brown and the Hunter Valley.

The R.V.R.M. is located in the old Richmond Main Colliery site, Leggett's Drive (B82), Richmond Vale 4kms south of Kurri Kurri in the Hunter Valley, N.S.W.

The R.V.R.M. runs trains first three Sundays of each month and every Sunday during School Holidays (except Christmas and New years day). Gates open at 9:30am and close at 4pm.

Timetable:Trains run from 10:00am as required throughout the day. With a lunch break for the crew around noon. Trains run no later than 3:00pm

Directions

From the Sydney, Newcastle motorway (M1):•Take the Freemans waterhole off ramp.•Turn left onto Freemans Dr (B82) after ramp.•At the Freemans Waterhole roundabout take the 1st exit onto Freemans Dr (B82).•After a about a kilometre Freemans Dr becomes Leggetts Dr•Continue along Leggetts Dr (B82) for about ten kilometres.•At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Leggetts Dr (B82).•Continue along Leggetts Dr (B82) for about four kilometres.•Then you should see the below sign on your left.

From the Hunter Expressway (M15):•Take the Kurri Kurri off ramp onto Main Rd.•After a few hundred meters Main Rd becomes Lang St.•Continue along Lang St.•At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto Victoria St.•Continue along Victoria St.•At the nest roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Railway St.•Continue along Railway St.•Turn left onto Stanford St.•After about a kilometre Stanford St becomes Leggetts Dr (B82).•Continue along Leggetts Dr (B82) for about two and a half Kilometres.•Then you should see the above sign on your right.
