Visit Lake Macquarie is calling for tourism operators interested in being featured in our upcoming Winter Deals Campaign.
The campaign will be in market from mid-March to the end of May and will promote deals available from 1 June – 31 August 2025.
To be included we are asking Tourism Operators to submit a winter deal that meets the following criteria:
- Is not part of a usual offering such as ‘happy hour’ or ‘two for one every Tuesday’
- Can booked over the winter, from 1 June – 31 August 2025
- Is ready for sale via your website and online booking platform by 17 March 2025
- Represents a substantial offering – more than a 10% discount
We are encouraging operators to team up to create some awesome holiday package deals. The more creative the better. Here are some examples to get you started.
Example Winter Special Offers
- Stay Longer, Save More: Book for 4 nights and receive the fifth night free.
- Early Bird Discount: Book your stay/tour/activity 30 days in advance and get a 25% discount off the standard rate.
- Family Fun Package: Book a family room/tour/activity and kids are free
- Adventure Package: Book a 3-night stay and receive a free adventure activity, such as kayaking or paddleboarding.
- Winter Warm-Up: Book mid-week and receive a complimentary hot chocolate and s'mores kit for a cozy night by the fire.
- Local Experience: Book a 2-night stay and receive a 10% discount on local tours and experiences.

- Sell accommodation, tours and experiences via our Tourism Partners

All Winter Deals will be uploaded to the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse under their deals and offers feature. A 1-hour webinar on how to load a deal will be provided.
We will work with Destination NSW to have the deals displayed on the Visit NSW website and included on their social media and in email newsletters.

- Meta ads on Facebook and Instagram using a combination of carousel ads and video reels
- Media partnership with Channel 7s Sydney Weekender Program
- Paid influencer partnership
- Paid media partnership with a Sydney based online publication and guide such as Broadsheet, Concrete Playground, Urban List or Timeout
