Pirate Paddle

Overview

Ahoy there! Lake Macquarie City Council is launching the inaugural Pirate Paddle; a fun, family-friendly event celebrating International Talk Like a Pirate Day.

You are invited you to don your best pirate gear and set sail to Thomas H Horton Park, Croudace Bay.

On land - Enjoy a pirate-themed treasure hunt, snack on a free sausage sizzle (for the first 500 people or until they run out), be entertained by our resident Pirate Captain – the Amazing Jono and enjoy the Pirate ship playground!

All pirates (and their furry friends) are invited to bring their kayaks, canoes or stand-up paddleboards and join them for the first-ever Pirate Paddle! Picture this - a group of paddlers dressed as pirates floating on the lake!

Bring your own SUP, kayak or canoe or if its your first time, they will have limited supplies available from partners Trinity Point and Water Sports Central, who will give you a quick briefing before the paddle. Additionally, Water Sports Central will have water bikes available!

Lifeguards will be onsite to support.
