Morning: Beach Date or a Paddle for Two

The morning is the perfect time to get outdoors and make the most of your beautiful surroundings.

Beach lovers can enjoy each other’s company while exploring Lake Macquarie’s pristine coastline. Choose a patrolled beach for swimming, or visit a secluded cove in one of the State Conservation Areas for a romantic stroll along the sand.

If you prefer the Lake, hire a tandem kayak and paddle to your very own deserted island. Pack some nibbles and make a day of it, you can swim in the clear waters or simply relax onshore. Another nice place for kayaking is the tranquil waterway of Dora Creek. Have a picnic on the riverbanks afterwards and feed the ducks.
