Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

Last updated: 1 June 2020

We’re thrilled to be welcoming visitors back to Lake Macquarie from June 1!

As of Monday 1 June, there are no limitations on travelling within NSW. And while we can’t wait to share our beautiful region with you once again, your visit may be a little different from usual. It’s a still tricky time for all of us and this includes many of our tourism operators, restaurants and other small businesses.

Restrictions on venues and activities will be in place for many businesses for the near future, meaning some may be allowed to open sooner than others, and all operations will need to adhere to social distancing requirements. We recommend booking your accommodation, dining and other activities in advance where possible. Please remain patient and vigilant, and remember, we are all in this together.

So while your trip may be a little different from those in the past, we promise the lake, beaches, walking trails, sea caves and fishing spots are all still here to be enjoyed.

We can’t wait to see you soon!
