By beautiful Lake Macquarie at Wangi Wangi is the home and studio of the late world famous artist and three times Archibald Prize Winner Sir William Dobell. Visit browse and enjoy examples of his life and works.


Dobell House was the home and studio of the world renowned painter Sir William Dobell. The house contains original furniture memorabilia and family momentos. The exhibition of more than 200 images of Dobells works brings together the largest number of his works in any location. Also on display are photographs and prints of his life & work.

From Morisset, follow the main road towards Toronto, After Dora Creek, follow the signs to Wangi Wangi. After the primary school, Dobell House is on the left. From Toronto, take the main road towards Morisset. Turn left at Donelly Road and follow the road down to Lake Macquarie. Turn right and follow Dobell Drive to Dobell House just after the primary school.
